Bike Ad

This is the final composition for the bike ad that I was making for communication design. The assignment was to create an ad for a bike that would appear in a newspaper as a ten by ten inch ad. My ad was for custom pin striping by Jack Randleman for the Thalia Street Surf Shop (the logo for the shop was edited into the background of the photo). The ad was made to resemble the nostalgic vintage feeling that encompasses Thalia Surf Shop and the Laguna Beach, California. The colors, textures, fonts, and content resembles that of the culture.

(Thalia Street Surf Shop logo was used with permission)

Retro Colored Photography

This photograph was taken by Alyssa Huddle, the shot drawn out and directed by myself. It was used as a photo in a bike ad for a Communication Design class. I took the photo into photoshop and edited the colors to create a "poorly" taken photo that resembles a shot taken back in the 1970's. The photo creates a nostalgic feeling and the sternness of the model (myself) resembles the proud feeling of American culture.

Atomic Airlines Poster

This is a poster done for a branding campaign done in Communication Design Two. The project was to brand a bowling alley. This included the creation of the name, logo, and extensive branding and advertising for the company. Keeping in an "old fashioned" feel to the bowling alley, I chose to call it Atomic Airlines, and center the design and feelings around vintage airlines. This project strived to create more than just a grade, as I incorporated a mix of retro design with modern principles to create an eye catching design that created feelings of "radness."
